Kapaa Invite Swim Meet This Saturday - 1/2/10

This Saturday is the first meet of the season, 8:00am warm-ups and all westside swimmers are able to swim at this meet, including Keegan and Matt as long as I mark them as exhibition (read email below). Also swimming exhibition will be Bryce (no physical), Gavin (no physical), Reyna (no physical). The rest are eligible to score points and help us win this thing

There is a teem meeting today 4pm at the Waimea swimming pool, we will discuss your individual goals and the upcoming meet schedule

Also the Waimea High School competition suits are in, I will bring them to the meeting tonight. The cost for the suits is $25

Here is a swim meet on Oahu that we could attend, we would need to raise all the travel funds ourselves, might be a good goal for next year.

Thanksgiving Week Schedule

There will be no practice on Wed or Fri of next week due to the Thanksgiving holiday, be sure to exercise on your own (jogging, surfing, etc) so that you will not be too out of shape when we come back on the 30th. Happy turkey day!

A big MAHALO to all of you who showed up to the game on Friday night, we had a good time dishing out water, soda, and peanuts to the fans. Looking forward to a good season, don't forget the team meeting at the pool today at 5pm.

Practice Begins - Nov 2nd, 5:00pm

We will have a team meeting at the pool on Nov 2nd at 5:00pm. The practice schedule will be as follows for the months of November, December, and January:

Monday: 4:00pm - 5:30pm swim, 5:30pm - 6:00pm (dryland)
Tuesday: 4:00pm - 5:30pm swim, 5:30pm - 6:00pm (dryland)
Wednesday: 4:00pm - 5:30pm swim, 5:30pm - 6:00pm (dryland)
Thursday: No practice
Friday: 4:00pm - 5:30pm swim, 5:30pm - 6:00pm (dryland)

Football Game Concessions - Oct. 30

The Swim team has been assigned to work at the Waimea vs Kauai football game on October 30th. Please report at 7:00pm (for the varsity game) to help out with the water and drinks booth. It was a lot of fun last year so come on out and support your team!
